South African Street Team brings Take The Walk to Cape Town
Take The Walk was last hosted in South Africa when Genevieve Wilton came back to her native country to host 5 walks in July and August of 2009: Durban, Cape Town, Soweto, Johannesburg and Pretoria.
The initiative comes back to Cape Town next year, on 1 March, set against the background of the new natural wonder of the world, Table Mountain. In 2009, Cape Town walked for schools. Next year, we walk for clean drinking water.

It is on our band's website, and includes scenes from the five walks in 2009, representing the different causes that Take The Walk supports, all set against the sounds of Hanson: "Great Divide", the song they released on World AIDS Day in 2006; "Where Did It Start?", from the Take The Walk EP; and segments from "World's On Fire", which was the promo single for the 2010 album.

ANTHEM DVD, Album Release Party!
To mark the release of their 6th sudio album ANTHEM, HANSON played a concert set of 27 songs encompassing music from their entire music carear, which spans 21 years! The DVD release of the concert, titled LIVE IN NEW YORK, is 2 and a half hours in length and contains 27 songs, 11 off the new album plus most of their hits!

APRIL 1, 2013 - NEW YORK - Pop-Rock trio HANSON are excited to announce the release of their new album and world tour. Titled ANTHEM, the new record will be released on June 18th. The North & South American leg of the ANTHEM WORLD TOUR begins July 18th in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and ends November 20th in Charlotte, NC. Click here to view tour dates.
On April 9th the band will release their debut single, ‘Get The Girl Back’, along with the presale of the highly anticipated album, and the onsale of the North and South American leg of their World Tour including deluxe album and ticket bundles. Pre-orders for the single and the music video are available on iTunes starting today.
The rest of the band’s international tour schedule and album release dates are set to be announced in May.
The infectious new single ‘Get The Girl Back’, which features the band’s signature soulful pop-rock sound, will be introduced to fans through the buzzworthy music video featuring Kat Dennings (Two Broke Girls) and Nikki Reed (Twilight/Thirteen). The video is set to premiere online on VH1.com on April 4th, and on-air on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown on April 6th.
HANSON will perform the song on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 9th.
The video is a narrative tale which features the band performing in a packed club backed by an old-school brass section that accentuates the retro aesthetic of the song. ANTHEM was produced and written by the band and was mixed by Tom Lord-Alge. It features a more guitar-driven sound, pulling from a series of harder hitting rock and R&B influences from James Brown to early Michael Jackson, and AC/DC.
2013 marks the 21st anniversary of HANSON. They have been nominated for multiple Grammys, released five studio albums, spawning a string of hit singles, including their 1997 #1 smash MMMbop and have sold over 16 million albums worldwide.

Hanson have released a preview of the video from the first single from their sixth studio album. The song, "Get The Girl Back", has an uptempo groove, and the video features guest appearances from Nikki Reed, Kat Dennings, Drake Bell and Drew Seeley.
It is not the first time the band has had guest appearances in videos. Weird Al Jankovic was in River and Thinkin' 'bout Somethin', and Samaire Armstrong (The OC) played Penny in the 'Penny And Me' music video.

Back To The Island. Members Only Event.

Hanson did a first in 2013, and it was so successful that they have decided to redo the event in 2014.
"Back To The Island" was initially an event as part of the band's 20th anniversary celebrations, but if a formula works...
"Back To The Island" was held in Jamaica, and consisted of a 5 day music extravaganza celebrating the music of Hanson. The 5 days of music were members' only events.
The second night was an acoustic concert, and on night five, they were joined by Warren Haynes on a song called "Soul Shine" and by Charlie Mars for their rendition of 'Back To The Island' on night five.
Hanson.net members may remember James Bishop's attempt on the HNET forums to get Hanson to play at his wedding. The band rewarded his persistence by paying for him to attend the Back To The Island gig as a second honeymoon.
